Luke & Chelsea
September 24, 2011
Ceremony: Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Brisol, Maine
Reception: The Bradley Inn, New Harbor, ME (www.bradleyinn.com)
The fog was definitely thick when I headed over to check out the lighthouse before the ceremony. But wow, that view is still breathtaking.
Luke & Chelsea were married on the coast of Maine at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. The setting could not have been any more idyllic. A gorgeous backdrop of the rocky coast of maine overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Reception at the simple, rustic-yet-elegant Bradley Inn was a short walk from the lighthouse.
The sky looked like it may open at any point, but thankfully it held out, which created a beautiful softness to the scene, giving off beautiful white light. It looked like a giant softbox in the sky. I am convinced the ever-prepared bride, Chelsea, helped to keep the rain away by being prepared for it. Don’t worry, the rainboots and umbrellas still got a chance to show off their color-coordinated stuff.
Just like I promised, here are the pictures of the bridesmaids with the bride sporting their rainboots and color-coordinated umbrellas. Thankfully, we didn’t need them, but how cute do they look here? I’m so glad we grabbed this shot!
My sentiments exactly. What a wonderful, fun, happy, wedding day. Family, friends, good food, good beer, and great weather made it all come together perfectly to create this very special day for Luke & Chelsea. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Update: Luke and Chelsea recently welcomed a baby boy into their family and he is absolutely adorable! Congratulations on the new addition!
